I've been wanting to stop in at Veselka for a while now and I finally made it on my most recent work trip! The staff was friendly and the service was quick to be seated, order and food came right out. The restaurant was busy but not packed and it was a great place to go by myself or to come back with friends. I tried the potato and cheese pierogis and the potato pancake. I grew up making pierogis and potato pancakes with my family and these did not disappoint! I ordered the pierogis fried and they were deliciously crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. I will definitely be back in the future!

Haven't been here in years and it's as good as ever. Comfort food for when you want something old-school "yummy" I wouldn't even think to order stuffed cabbage most places. Our group starts with Pierogi's, the favorites are braised beef and my personal fav is the basic (but not basic tasting) potato filled little dumplings. The vegetarian stuffed cabbage with rice and mushrooms, swimming in mushroom gravy portion is big enough for 2 people (if you've already gorged yourself on pierogis). Everyone at the table was happy, from burgers to chicken, everyone was too full for dessert. It's noisy inside, so not a good place for significant conversation, unless you want to keep asking everyone to repeat themselves. Come anyway, it's worth the wait and eat outside if the weather is nice.

Delicious Ukrainian diner that showcased flavors I've never tried before. The pierogis are top tier. We tried beef, potato, and mushroom and beef was the best. If were to come back I would get a whole plate of the beef pierogis. There was no wait at 8pm on a Saturday night!

Veselka is so, so good. I don't know what I was expecting when my friends took me here, but it exceeded any expectations I had. The staff were some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant. They accommodated our party and answered any questions we had. Really the star of the show are the pierogis, and I would go back to Veselka time and time again for them! I haven't tried much else, so take my review with a grain of salt, but I'm looking forward to trying the other things on the menu.
